Elevate your art

Hello and welcome! The name Burkholme was the name of my grandfathers farm when he was growing up, providing food on the table for many in Ontario. Farming, at least for now is off the table, although the foundation of who he was as a person what he did for the community, from growing food, to starting a figure skating club, is what I'm wanting to carry on for others. Working in the industry for the last 12 years from my own photography, art handling, working along side talented folk I wanted to find a way to support and elevate others by providing quality prints for artists to show the world.

Burkholme is a boutique fine art home based printing business based in the Comox Valley. Currently we are offering prints on four different paper types and an archival canvas.

About
Papers

our papers

Epson Premium Luster 260gsm

Premium Luster Photo Paper delivers highly saturated prints by offering maximum ink coverage and a high D-Max for true photographic reproductions. Its 10-mil RC base gives prints a photographic feel, and keeps the paper cockle-free.

Breathing Color Signa Smooth 270

Signa Smooth is a beautiful paper for high resolution photography and detailed art prints.  Acid and lignin free, with top tier Dmax and color gamut, you will find Signa to be supple, generous, and forgiving.  Signa Smooth, the perfect weight for perfect prints.

Breathing Color Optica One

Tell your story.  Be adventurous. Set sail and navigate the fullest breadth of the color spectrum with a fine art paper that is bold and striking, crisp, clean, and effervescent.  A cotton rag without the raggedness, Optica One is for clear eyes and quick wits.  Our top choice for when the daring is in the details.

Hahnemuhle Bamboo Paper 290

Made from 90% bamboo fibers, for a natural look and environmentally friendly paper production. The natural white, warm-toned bamboo paper does not contain optical brighteners, and stands out thanks to its soft, lightly textured felt structure and sensual feel.

Epson Exhibitional Archival Canvas (Unstretched)

An acid free, lignin free heavyweight cotton-poly blend, this elegantly textured canvas features a matte non-reflective surface with a bright white point, exceptionally high Dmax and wide colour gamut. The canvas base is enhanced with elastic polymers providing high tensile strength and flexibility for gallery wrap stretching without cracking.

Currently on the lookout for more papers! Although we would really like them to be as environmentally friendly as possible. If you have ideas, feel free to reach us at burkholme@gmail.com
